What is Women Care Certified?
The AMCCR, in an effort to recognize all of the women in the coffee industry as a force for change, not just their families, but also their communities, decided to implement the policy: Women Care Certified®. With this certification, AMCCR creates a sustainable standard of living for women involved in cultivating, processing, exporting, administration, and handling of the coffee.
The policy Women Care Certified® and its certification process are based in the transparency and confidence between all of the actors within the chain of command in order to guarantee gender equity, access to resources, and training which ensures that women can participate on even footing within the coffee industry.
